Documents required for the tourist visa application

1. Visa Support

original or copy of the formal confirmation from receiving Russian travel agency or hotel (tourist voucher), stamped and signed by authorized person. The stamp and all details should be clearly readable.

If the stay is longer than 2 weeks, the embassy asks a detailed day to day intinerary. This itinerary should be provided by a travel agency.

2. Travel insurance certificate

the medical and repatriation insurance certificate with Russian or worldwide coverage issued by any insurance company. This certificate should contain a name of the insured person and the insurance validity period.

3. Visa application form

We would like to inform you that the Consular Department accepts the only application forms filled via the web-site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation: http://visa.kdmid.ru

The application form is to be fully completed, printed out and signed.

Important! Write down the password to your application form!

In case of any problem, please print the old application form (see below), fill it in and bring with other documents. We'll help you to fill in the on-line form at our office.

4. One recent passport size photo

glued to the indicated space on the application form.

5. Current passport

which should be valid for a minimum of six months after the visa's expiration date and has at least 2 blank pages which do not need to be consecutive.

6. Proof of Financial Means

If you are unemployed or a student at the time of application, the consulate requires a copy of recent bank statements. The required amount is 1000€ per week of stay in Russia.
